What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authorative and infallible Word of God.

We believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit --one eternal God who exist as three persons, distinquishable but indivisible.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, who demonstrated the authority and power of God as He walked among men living a sinless life, suffered and died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

We believe that man must repent of his sin and receive the finished work of Jesus Christ by believing in his heart and confessing with his mouth that Jesus is Lord resulting in the regeneration of his spirit.

We believe in eternal life for believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers.

We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the new birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit and the evidence of the fruit of the spirit.  We believe that all of these are available to believers.

We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.

We believe in divine healing, through faith in the name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the redemption.

We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion of the Lord's Supper for Believers.

We believe the sanctity of marriage as established by the Holy Scriptures, and that God created marriage and that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.  (Genesis 2:24; romans 7: 2-3; I Corinthians 7: 10-11; ephesians 5: 22-33)

We believe in evangelism and missionary work in accordance with the Christian commission.  (Matthew 28:19)

We believe in the Christian's hope - the soon coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
